Verizon Receives Nokia 2705 Shade Flip Phone


Verizon Wireless announces the the release date of the new flip phone, Nokia’s 2705 Shade, on their distribution line. This stylish and sleek design clamshell handset features 176×200 color display, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth and a microUSB 2.0 connector. The 2795 Shade does supports VZ Navigator service and just like much older Nokia phones that come with interchangeable covers to reflect your mood and takes the same route with Xpress-on smart covers. The Nokia 2705 Shade will be available in October 06 and will retail for $29.99 with new two-year services agreement.

Pioneer BDR-205 Blu-ray Disc Computer Writer Announced


BDR-205 is the new Blu-ray Disc Computer Writer from Pioneer with up to 12x write speed for single and dual-layer Blu-ray Disc (BD) media, thus provides an accurate, rapid performance for demanding professional applications and off course making it ideal for authoring providers and system builders. In addition, the BDR-205 also can read and write speed performance up to 16x for DVD and 40x for CD media. The Pioneer BDR-205 Blu-ray Disc computer writer will be ship from October 2009 and the retail version will be available from Q1 of 2010 at an MSRP of $249.

Dell Latitude Z600 World’s Thinnest Laptop


The new Dell Latitude Z a.k.a Latitude Z600 is now available for purchase in the US. Weighing at only 4.5 pounds and measuring at 0.57-inch thin, this 16-inch ultra-thin business-oriented laptop sports an either Intel Core 2 Duo SU9600 1.6GHz or a SU9400 1.4GHz processor, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM and Intel’s GMA 4500MHD graphics.

  • Half an inch thin, 4.5 pounds with a four-cell battery with a lean, tapered design and soft-touch Black Cherry finish;
  • World’s first laptop with optional wireless docking, that relies on a UWB radio for point-to-point communications, and inductive charging, which eliminates the need for power cords by using a dynamic power transfer between system primary stand and secondary module. Both will be available in the coming weeks;
  • Dell’s first-of-its-kind EdgeTouch allows users to interact with commonly used applications and media controls through a touch interface that is on the edge of the system’s screen;
  • Spacious multi-touch touchpad and silky-touch backlit keyboard;
  • High-definition (1600×900) WLED display and two megapixel camera featuring Dell Capture technology that allows users to scan and save business cards to Microsoft Outlook contacts and copy documents;
