Silicon Power release a new rugged portable HDD to its ultra rugged Armor series, the Armor A80 USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive. It is performed in 2.5-inch form factor and comes in one color, blue. The USB 3.0 interface features a 5 Gbps/sec bandwidth which is 10x the bandwidth of a USB 2.0 interface. This Rugged Armon A80 device also meets IPX7 water resistant standard and MIL-STD-810F military standards, it is pressure-proof, dust-proof and has advanced two-stage anti-shock technology.
The Silicon Power Armor A80 rugged external hard drive is available in models for 640GB, 500GB and 320 GB. There is no word on pricing or availability. Also it’s pre-loaded with SP Widget free download software that has seven main functions to maximize your SP Portable Hard Drive.
